Optimize the File Name
Google crawls everything on a page.
This includes the file name of an image. When saving your file, you
should be mindful of this.
Ensure the name of your business is
included front and center in the file name of your logo. You can
also use a few related keywords to further optimize it. Just ensure
you don't go overboard; keyword stuffing is out of favor with Google
and can cause your site to be penalized.
Optimize the Alt Text
Image and video content should always
include alt text. Alt-text is alternative text that describes the
content of the media file. It benefits screen readers used by
disabled people but has the added benefit of boosting your SEO as
well.
When uploading your logo file, always
make sure to include alt text. You should also ensure that the alt
text is optimized for your business-specific keywords. Just make
sure not to slip into keyword stuffing. Your alt text should be
clear, relevant, and readable, first and foremost.
Use Schema.org Markup
Schema.org is HTML Organization markup
intended to signpost specific content for Google and other search
engines. You can essentially tell search engines specifically how
you want your content to be represented in SERPs.
Schema.org is simple to implement. You simply add specific values as
metadata to the relevant HTML tags. To
signpost a logo, for example, you'd add the item prop markup to
your logo's HTML image tag.
