In this
section of
my

anecdotes and show what clues they give, and how they help a
thinking person to learn, create new ideas, grow and succeed.
Let's begin. |

A businessman was talking with
his barber, when they both
noticed a goofy-looking fellow
bouncing down the sidewalk. The
barber whispered, "That's Tommy,
one of the stupidest kids you'll
ever meet. Here, I'll show you."
"Hey Tommy! Come here!" yelled the
barber. Tommy came bouncing over "Hi Mr. Williams!" The barber pulled out a
rusty dime and a shiny quarter and told Tommy he could keep the one of his
choice. Tommy looked long and hard at the dime and quarter and then quickly
snapped the dime from the barber's hand. The barber looked at the businessman
and said, "See, I told you."
...
After his haircut, the businessman
caught up with Tommy and asked him why he chose the dime.
Tommy looked at him in the eye and
said, "If I take the quarter, the game is over."

A
new geography
teacher came to school.
Before the first lesson, his
colleagues warned him that he
had an extremely disobedient
class, and that not a single
teacher had ever managed to
force the students of this class
to sit and listen during a
lesson.
The new
teacher replied that he could handle it and went to teach the lesson. The other
teachers laughed at the newcomer's naivety and stood outside the door to listen
to the students boo their new colleague.
After
the teacher appeared, the din in the classroom, as expected, did not subside at
all. Then the teacher was heard to say something, after which the naughty
students instantly became quiet and listened carefully to the teacher until the
very end of the lesson.
In the
teachers' room, colleagues surrounded the new geographer and asked what he said
that made the disobedient students instantly shut up and start listening to the
teacher.
