Have you tried using all the different social media platforms for marketing, but realized that you should stick to just one or two?

Do you want to know which platforms would be best to reach your target audience?

Social media is more than just everyday things and communication between individuals. It is a vehicle for people and businesses to make money. When it comes to social media, you have influencers, who make their living on the platform by working in collaboration with businesses and promoting them to their millions of followers.

This can be done with businesses and brands too and it is a great opportunity for cost-effective marketing. Brands have made so many choices for social media marketing, and when it comes down to social media marketing, you need to choose the platform that is best suited to your content, target audience, and more. Here are some of the best social media platforms for brand marketing.

TikTok

Right at the top of our list of best social media platforms for marketing, we have TikTok. The is the newcomer to the game but has also very quickly become the most popular social media platform around.

TikTok has around a billion active users every month, and most of these are of a younger demographic. This platform mostly reaches teens and young adults but you will find older people here and there.

TikTok is a platform that is used to film, edit, and share short videos of yourself, to your audience. As a business, this platform is great because it is very easy to be discovered and there is no need for your content to be of the best quality. It just needs to be authentic and unique, which means no need for expensive and fancy equipment.

Instagram

Next up on the list is Instagram. Instagram has been at the top for a very long time. Just like TikTok, it has over a billion active monthly users and also has many growth services such as Growthoid for gaining Instagram followers, however, it has been around for a lot longer. Instagram is a platform that is based on visuals alone. Although you can add captions to your posts, the main part of the content is the visuals in the form of videos and photos.

Instagram started as a photo-sharing app, but now there is more emphasis placed on the video side of it with features such as Reels, Stories, and IGTV, to name a few.

On Instagram, you will be able to find just about any audience that you want to reach as they cater to a very wide demographic. You just need to know who your target audience is to be able to efficiently reach them.

Twitter

Moving on down the list, we have Twitter up next. Twitter is one of the oldest social media platforms that is still functioning at full capacity and even doing well. Although it doesn’t quite match up to the likes of Instagram and TikTok, it still manages to reach a whopping 330 million users every month. Making it yet another one of the most popular platforms.
Twitter is a microblogging-style platform where you can post tweets with a limited number of characters. These days you can also include a variety of visuals from gifs, to videos, and photos.

This is a great platform if you are trying to reach more of a millennial audience as this is their primary demographic and who they reach the most.

YouTube

Last but not least we have YouTube. This is less like the other social media platforms; in that, it is a lot less social. However, it is yet another one of the most popular social media platforms to this day. YouTube is a video-sharing platform.

One of the best things about YouTube is that it is known for its advertising features. In just about every video that you watch, there will be an advertisement that is catered towards your interests.

As a business, marketing in this kind of way is incredibly useful as it forces people to watch your advertisement, or rather a part of them. If you don’t want to pay for advertising, you could also post to a channel and have content with things like tutorials, reviews, and so much more.
