Leadership
In transformational leadership, shock
therapy is a revolution from the top
that begins with defrosting the status
quo in a bold eye-opening way.
A "revolution from the top" is a
transformational change or reform
initiated by existing leaders or
authorities, rather than through
grassroots movements or popular
uprisings.
Examples
▪
Jack Welch launched a revolution from
the top and
transformed GE.
▪ In Saudi Arabia, reforms were introduced
by the monarchy to transform the
country's structure and governance.
▪ In the USA,
Donald Trump as the 47th
President, used shock therapy many
times as a key element of his
Trampformational Leaderships (Trumpsip)
approach to "Make America Great Again" (MAGA)
and transform international
relationships.
